Merit Scholarship Information
All merit scholarship award decisions will be made based on the official class
rank/percent recorded in the student information system by the Office of
Admissions.
Non-ranking high schools
Non-ranking high school students must first meet the minimum test score for merit scholarship consideration.
The TTU Scholarship Office will award a Merit–level scholarship to those students with a ranking assigned by the
TTU Office of Admissions in the top 10%.
The TTU Office of Admissions assigns rank based on the students’ GPA.
Final Merit scholarship offers are made by April 15.
Home schooled students
Home schooled students must first meet the minimum test score to be considered in a holistic review.
The TTU Scholarship Office will award those students with a ranking assigned by the TTU Office of Admissions in the top 10%.
The TTU Office of Admissions assigns rank based on the students’ GPA.
For those students who are not ranked in the top 10% by the Admissions process, the scholarship Office will do a
holistic review of the student’s academic credentials and admission application including essays related to the
application process and/or requested by the Merit Scholarship Committee, to determine if the student is qualified
to receive a Merit-level Scholarship. Final Merit scholarship offers are made by April 15.
Students earning an IB diploma
IB diploma candidates must first meet the minimum test score for merit scholarship consideration.
The TTU Scholarship Office will award a Merit-level scholarship to those students with a class ranking assigned
by the TTU Office of Admissions in the top 10%. The TTU Office of Admissions assigns rank based on the students’ GPA.
For those students who are not ranked in the top 10%by the Admissions process,
the student must submit a letter no later than April 15 to the TTU Scholarship Office from their principal
stating that they are on track to receive the IB Diploma for Merit–level consideration.
Students must submit their IB diploma to the TTU Scholarship Office no later than July 30 to finalize their Merit
scholarship offer.
